Corzine ’09 Releases Latest Campaign Ad
TRENTON—Highlighting Governor Corzine’s record of fighting for what matters to Atlantic City, the Corzine/Weinberg ’09 campaign released its latest radio entitled “Atlantic City.” Starting today, the 60 second ad will air on radio stations in Atlantic City.
While Corzine has invested in attracting new jobs, building new infrastructure, and improving the affordability of higher education in Atlantic City, Republican Chris Christie supports tax breaks for the wealthy that would drive up taxes on the middle class and would give free rein to the big insurance companies that have bankrolled his campaign by allowing them to drop coverage for critical procedures like mammograms, prostate screenings, autism screenings, and 48 hour maternity stay. He continues to show that he is wrong when it matters most.
Governor Corzine’s Accomplishments in Atlantic City:
$15 billion of investments committed for the next decade in Atlantic City—between new towers, expansions, and the exciting new resort-casinos in the works from MGM; Revel; the Barr/Bashaw group with their Gateway Casino; Margaritaville; and the new one slated for the Pinnacle site.
New direct train service from New York and Newark tto Atlantic City, thanks to a strong financial contribution from CRDA, as well as Harrah’s, Resorts and Borgata.
Widening projects have been initiated on both the Atlantic City Expressway and Garden State Parkway to facilitate southbound traffic and access to Atlantic City.
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority has finalized $30.3 million in financing assistance, business incentives and tax credits in Atlantic City. This assistance is expected to leverage $154 million in total public/private investment and lead to the creation of an estimated 537 new jobs.
Atlantic City International Airport Expansion, including an $18 million terminal addition, a $10 million apron expansion, a hotel and conference center, and freight and cargo enhancements to draw tourists and freight to Atlantic City.
An additional 1,049 children and 959 adults added to FamilyCare rolls in Atlantic City. Today, 7,487 children and 2,741 adults are enrolled in Atlantic City.
